The majestic monument is built hundreds of years ago and holds a special place in the historical sites of Delhi. With an amazing height, we can enjoy stupendous view of the city. The slave king Qutab-ud-din Aibak initiated this huge tower and completed ones storey, whereas rest of three were completed by Iltutmish. With total five stories and having a circular balcony, the majestic monument is a complete visual delight for the tourists.
The stunning tomb has been constructed in Mughal style using red sandstone. It was constructed by wife of Humayun, Haji Begum. The tomb has some unique features such as double domes and high arches. The garden which surrounds the monument has been constructed in Persian style. The tomb is undoubtedly a brilliant piece of great Mughal art.
This unique and magnificent symbol of great Indian architecture is positioned in the heart of the capital city. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed this great monument in the year 1724. It is mainly used for astronomical observations and it means instrument and formula. It has a huge sun dial which is known as Samrat Yantra.
Purana Qila or Old Fort is a wonderful heritage site of Delhi. HUmayun built this site and is certainly a complete architectural grandeur.
